Pre-Departure Checklist

• Confirmed the track and weather conditions with Ravit, and confirmed it's ok to proceed
• Verified participant list and special needs (medical conditions, fitness levels). Ensured all are willing and able
• Confirmed the bus driver and scheduled a pre-tour briefing on roles, vehicle safety and emergency protocols
• Checked that all required equipment (microphone, first aid kit, emergency contact list) is on hand and functional
• Conducted a vehicle safety inspection with the bus driver (seat belts, emergency exits, fire extinguisher)

Participant Safety Briefings

• Briefed participants on safety protocols: emergency exits, meeting points, staying on marked tracks and what to do if they lose the group (stay put and wait)
• Collected phone numbers of all participants
• Conducted a headcount before departure and at each stop

During the Tour

• Monitored participants for signs of distress or health issues and addressed immediately
• Ensured all participants followed safety guidelines (appropriate footwear, staying with the group)
• Communicated with the bus driver to confirm timing for stops and itinerary adherence

Emergency Preparedness

• Carried a fully charged cellphone with Mercury Travel's contacts
• Ensured the first aid kit was accessible, restocked and includes items for remote areas
• Reviewed emergency evacuation procedures with the bus driver and participants, including PLB activation if no immediate response

End-of-Day Responsibilities

• Conducted a final headcount to ensure all participants were accounted for
• Reported any incidents, safety concerns or feedback to Mercury Travel
